Deadlines Looming

This weekend I had the chance to get out of the city and into the mountains again for a day. It was a great day out with some dear friends. Details of the excursion and the reason for going can be found in the encrypted passkey portion below. The photo on the left was the sight as we left the city and headed into the mountains. Yup, that´s water (rain) in the air and lots of it. Keep in mind we are all traveling by motorcycle on a mountain road with some pretty serious twists and turns. Bottom line is that we got wet on the way, but it was well worth it. I should have some more pics up on facebook in the next day or so.

Now, on to the deadlines. The courts have finally started issuing new appearance dates for the musicians involved in the arrests of over two months ago here in Chiang Mai, Thailand. All of us are concerned and unsure of what our futures hold. Myself included. Some here have more to lose than others in the way of family, businesses and investments. I really feel for these guys, and we are all hoping for the best.

Just Checking in

Things That Should Have Killed Me....but didn´t

As promised, I have comprised a short list of some of the things I have been through here where I have defied the odds and still managed to live. I´ve had this list partially completed and sitting in my drafts folder for a while, but I figured it was time to throw it out there. Tomorrow is Monday, and opens up the possibility for the dreaded phone call regarding the next court date. My sources are telling me to be patient because the legal system works very slowly here, but have also told me that it will be soon. For now, enjoy the list. Passkey is required at the link below. Blog is back Online!!!

After a long few days, I have opened up public access to my blog again. I have been trying to secure my site here and also do some damage control regarding some statements that were taken totally and completely out of context and might be used against me here in the local courts. I want the blog to stay open to the public in order to keep the facts straight about the ongoing case, but I don’t want to be handing the prosecution any evidence or information that might be used against me. As a precaution, I have implemented the following measure to ensure that my family and friends can access sensitive information that I need to get out.

All family and close friends wll be issued a passkey that will allow you to access sensitive information within the blog. Entire posts or even just portions of posts will be encrypted and not available to the general public. Wherever you see the padlock logo and disclaimer shown below, you will be able to click, enter the key, and read the encrypted information.

Passkeys will be sent via email or private facebook message in the next 24 hours. I don´t mind if you share the key, but all I ask is that you use your best judgement in sharing it with only people you trust. I don´t have the time or resources to issue individual keys to everyone who wants one, so please be responsible with whom you share the information with. My future and safety could very well depend on it. Sorry to have to get all ¨James Bond¨ on you with this, but I had no choice and this seemed like the best solution. If I have forgotten anyone, please don't hesitate to email me and I will send you a key right away provided I know who you are.
